Feature Friday: Slow Cooker Meals - Spicy Tomatoes and Chicken

On Sunday after church everyone is hungry in my house.  And if we do not stop at a restaurant on the way home, the piranhas will become testy and quickly fall away from the teachings of the church.  So, I've learned that this is a great day to walk into a slow cooked meal.  This Spicy Tomatoes and Chicken dish is easy to cut up and toss into the pot, as I make breakfast.  Today is a blog hop and I am inviting others to link up the favorite crock pot meals.  Enjoy!


Spicy Tomatoes and Chicken

3 chicken breast halves, cubed
1 can chick peas, drained
1 onion, chopped
1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt

Add all ingredients to slow cooker and set on low for 4.5 hours.  Serve over rice.

Variation: Add 8 oz can of tomato sauce before serving, if you like a richer and thicker sauce.
