Easy Macaroni Bake - Feature Friday - Ground Beef Recipes {Linky}

If you are looking for an easy meal that the kids will enjoy so that there is peace in the land, this is it.  The good new is if you serve it with a salad, brussels sprouts or broccoli they will be getting a preservative free and well rounded meal.  This recipe can be made in advance and removed from the refrigerator or freezer when you are ready to bake.  For that reason, it makes a great dish to deliver to someone in need, a church luncheon or to have in your freezer for a night that you just don't feel like cooking.




Easy Macaroni Bake

1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
8 oz macaroni, cooked and drained
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 - 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup green onions, chopped


Brown beef in skillet, and drain.  Add tomato sauce, salt, garlic salt and simmer until liquid is reduced by half.  Combine cottage cheese, onion, sour cream and mix with noodles.  Lightly spray 2 quart casserole with cooking oil.  Place half of macaroni mixture in casserole, add meat sauce from skillet and cover with remaining macaroni.  Top with cheese and bake at 350F for 30 minutes.
