A few days ago I made some of the best pork chops for our dinner. They were seared and cooked until tender in a rich gravy with onions. I served them with rice and I knew my family enjoyed them by the various grunts that were made at the table. I even managed to get a nice picture of them before they were woofed down. And then, in a moment of genus, I deleted the images. By then the only thing left of the chops were the bones. Talk about a disappointment! Before I post this recipe I'll make it again and keep the picture.
In light of this tragedy, I've decided to share a new trend that will be taking place here on Savannah's Savory Bites. After talking to a few of my followers I have determined that many of you want to see easier recipes. I've created a new tab at the top of this page and I will be labeling these new recipes as such. My goal is to post one or two of these each week. I am hoping, that with them clearly marked you will be able to quickly click on the tab and find a meal for your family.
One thing I won't be doing is compromising on ingredients. My family and I eat simple foods that will in fact rot if left in the fridge or the cabinet, for too long. So many of the foods found in the grocer today, that make cooking easier, are full of preservatives. This new section, Simple and Budget Friendly Meals, will not only be simple to make but come from simple, or what might be called basic, foods. If this interests you watch the site in the days to come and look for this image.
