Cheese Bread with Onions and Banana Peppers

Cheese Bread with Onions and Banana Peppers

1 1/3 cups water
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon parsley
3 tablespoons dried minced onion
2 tablespoon minced mild banana pepper
2 tablespoons gluten
2/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup wheat flour
3 cups white bread flour

Add butter to warm, but not hot water, and let sit to melt.  Add yeast after butter is softened and started to melt.  Combine sugar, salt, basil, parsley, onion, pepper, cheeses and gluten in a large bowl.  Mix in water, yeast and butter.  Add flour slowly and create an elastic dough by kneading.  Do not dump in all of the flour at one time.  Start with the wheat and then add 1/2 cup of bread flour to reach the correct consistency. This amount will change depending on how humid the air is.  Place in greased bowl and cover.  Allow to rise until double, about an hour.

Punch down and knead a few times.  Shape into loaf and place in pan to rise a 2nd time, about 30 minutes.

Bake at 400F degrees until brown, about 25-30 minutes.
