If it's summer, it's time to grill steaks. At least I think so. I am not a big steak person, and yet when it gets warm and I smell the grills heating up in the neighborhood, I think steak.
I found this fabulous way to add flavor to your favorite cut of beef. It involves using a bit of maple syrup, and the original recipe can be found here. I've altered the directions and ingredients a wee bit.
4 beef steaks
1/4 cup maple syrup (do not substitute)
1 tablespoon crushed garlic
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
Combine syrup and garlic and brush on all sides of steak. Combine salt and pepper and rub over steaks. Grill as you normally would.
