1/2 pound butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
Cream Cheese Filling:
3 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons butter (no substitutes), softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 pound fresh cranberries
3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup walnuts
1 tablespoon butter
Crust: Cream the butter and sugar until light in the bowl of an electric mixer. Combine the flour and salt and, with the mixer on low, add to the butter until just mixed. Flatten the dough with floured hands and press it into a 9 by 13 by 2-inch baking sheet, building up a 1/2-inch edge on all sides.
Filling: In a small mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg, flour and vanilla. Spread over crust.
Cranberry: Chop cranberries and sugar in food processor. Pour over cream cheese filling.
Topping: Chop all ingredients in food processor until nuts are fine. Sprinkle over cranberry filling.
Bake in 350F oven for 40 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.
