Sherri's Cardamom Cookies

I have gained at least ten pounds since Christmas.  I can blame all but one of those pounds on these cookies.  Cookies are not my specialty but I will make these any chance I get.  My girlfriend brought a batch to an event and shared the recipe.  She kept telling me how delicious they were but I figured she was just being silly.  I mean you rave about cheesecake or monkey bread.  But cookies?
I could go on and on about how tasty these are but just know that if I go into therapy it will be to over come my addiction to Cardamom Cookies.  If you do not have Cardamom in your spice cabinet you’ll need to get it.  You will not regret it.  This spice is very versatile and after using it in this recipe I have found that I am adding it elsewhere.
Hi my name is Savannah and I am addicted to Cardamom Cookies.

Cocaine Cardamom Cookies

1 c. butter
1 1/2 c sugar
1 egg
2 Tablespoons dark corn syrup
3 c flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon cardamom
Cream butter, sugar, eggs and syrup.  Mix in remaining ingredients.
Mold into rolls approximately 2 inches in diameter.  Wrap in waxed paper and chill for at least 1 hour.
Slice and bake on greased cookie sheets at 350 degrees for 9-12 minutes.

If you make them and become a fellow cardamom cookie addict please let me know in the comment window bellow.
