1 16 oz can of chickpeas or garbanzo beans
2 small lemons
1 1/2 tablespoons tahini
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon cumin
1/4 cup liquid from can of chickpeas (only use as much as you need to create the right consistency)
Mix the first six ingredients together in your food processor. 
Add the chickpea liquid slowly until you reach the desired texture.
 If you like a milder flavor cut back on the cumin.  I like to taste both the cumin and the lemon so they are both strong in this recipe.  Adjust it to your preference.  You can also add olives, spinach or pine nuts for additional flavor.
